Terms and Conditions
CONDITIONS OF ADMISSION
All prospective students are required to read the following conditions before sending the online application form.
1. WEST LONDON BUSINESS COLLEGE (WLBC) Provides tuition for foreign students in strict accordance with the regulation issued by the British Home office, along with the conditions of admission that the students have agreed to abide by.
2. Students are advised to make sure that they have sufficient funds before they enrol at WLBC. The College cannot offer any subsidy if a student is unable to complete the course as a result of financial constraints.
3. Placement in classes is subject to availability
4. Tuition fees are only refundable where the British Embassy, British High Commission or British Home Office has refused a student entry clearance. The refusal letter, original letter and authorisation letter must substantiate all refusals. An administrative charge of £100 will be made. Full fees will be refunded if course is cancelled by WLBC.
5. No refund will be given if the student has been refused visa extension due to poor attendance.
6. WLBC will not transfer fees from one student to another.
7. Students are expected to attend classes each day. Failure to attend will be treated in accordance with the following procedures:
A- Students not attending lessons during the first 2 weeks of their course of study will be struck off the register and their tuition fee withheld.
B- Students who attend irregularly will be given a letter of reminder after 1 month, and if poor attendance persists they will be struck off the register and their tuition fee withheld. In each of these cases the Home Office will be informed.
Absenteeism is permitted due to holiday entitlement or ill health (doctor's medical certificate needs to be produced)
8. The College must be informed about any change to the student's English Address, while studying at WLBC. WLBC will not accept any responsibility for letters going astray as a result of students' failure to comply.
9. Students wishing to extend their course must pay the College office in advance:
3months - 1 year course: 4 weeks' notice; 1 months course: 2 weeks' notice. Students who fail to make payment may lose their place in the class.
10. The cost of course books is included in the course fees (maximum 4 sets per year).
11. Students' files are confidential and will only be produced to a recognised authority.
12. WLBC reserves the absolute right to amend the lesson timetable and to merge or split classes as and when deemed appropriate.
13. WLBC reserves the right to alter or amend its internal certificates and diplomas throughout the academic period.
14. Four working day's notice is required for WLBC to produce letters requested by students. The first five letters will be provided free of charge and there will be a fee of£ 5 for each additional letter produced. A fee of £15 will be charged for change of enrolment dates if changed more than twice.
15. WLBC will not be held responsible for the loss or theft of students' belongings in the school building.
16. WLBC will not be held responsible for any mail that is lost or stolen as a result of the student using the school's address for the sending or receiving of mail.
17. WLBC operates a strictly non-smoking policy in the classroom and offices.
18. No food or drink may be consumed in the classrooms.
19. Mobile telephones must be switched off during lesson time.
