IELTS
Academic IELTS is a test of your English which is used as an entry requirement for studying at university in the UK and other English speaking countries. This is an intensive course, which focuses on the language and skills needed in academic situations, such as writing essays, taking lecture notes, scanning texts and giving short presentations. Course Times and Cost
Courses include 21 hours of study per week. This is comprised of 15 hours tuition at the school and 6 hours self study at home, usually 45 minutes per day from Monday to Thursday and 3 hours at the weekend. Course Cost and Materials
Course material consists of a Practice Test Book and is included in the fees for courses as below. The Academic IELTS course is taught from a wide range of teaching resources rather than following a coursebook.
* Non UK resident students are classified as students who are applying from outside of the United Kingdom.
** UK resident students are classified as students who are living in the United Kingdom and / or have the necessary documentation to study in the United Kingdom.
After 6 months of study students qualify for the UK Resident Student fees.
Course Length
Decide how long you wish to study based on your current and desired level of English. Most students require at least 14 weeks’ study to improve their IELTS score by 1 band. The score you require will depend on the entry requirements of the university, government or institution you apply to.
Maximum Class Size and Attendance Requirements
The maximum class size is 16 and the average class size is 10. You may lose your place in the class if you do not attend regularly.
